He earned his B.Sc. from Shiraz University, followed by an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. from Amirkabir University of Technology. Professor Ghatee is widely recognized for his pioneering research in artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data science, and large-scale optimization. His work places a special emphasis on intelligent transportation systems, smart cities, and theoretical machine learning and deep learning paradigms. He previously served as the Head of the Information and Communication Technology Center and is currently the Director of NORC at the same university. He leads cutting-edge projects on smartphone-based ITS, image processing, public transportation, traffic prediction, spatial-temporal data analysis, and real-world AI applications. He has co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in top-tier venues, in addition to contributing to 16 books and book chapters. He has played a crucial role in advancing AI-driven solutions for national and international challenges. His contributions have been acknowledged with several awards, including being named a distinguished researcher.
